DIY Oatmeal and Yogurt Facial Scrub
Do you love oats for breakfast? Most of us only see oatmeal as a breakfast staple, but there’s actually more to it than just being a morning snack. It’s highly beneficial on your skin, and we’ll share a must-try facial scrub recipe in this article.
If you’re looking for an easy-to-make DIY exfoliating scrub, we got your back! In this blog, we’ll show you how to make the oatmeal and yogurt facial scrub. Before we jump to the recipe, let’s talk about what these main ingredients can do for your skin.

Did you know that oatmeal can be found as an ingredient to a wide variety of skincare products? It’s referred to as “colloidal oatmeal” on the label. Oatmeal has phenoms, which are components that can act as antioxidants; this means that this ingredient reduces inflammation on your skin. It also helps your skin to repair damages.
On the other hand, yogurt is composed of natural lactic acid; this takes down dead skin cells and helps reduce visible signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. The last main ingredient you’ll need is jojoba oil. This component can provide your skin with moisture as you exfoliate without clogging your pores.

Now, let’s get to the easy recipe!
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp organic finely ground rolled oats
- 1 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp jojoba oil (you can also use coconut oil)
Directions:
- Grind the oats into powder with a food processor.
- Get a bowl and mix all of the ingredients there.
- The result is your finished product.
- Make sure to store the mixture in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator.
Directions for Application:
- Cleanse your face.
- Apply the finished scrub on your face and rub it in circular motions for up to 1 minute.
- Use lukewarm water to rinse the scrub off.
